According to her friend Dan Harary, Jacobson died earlier this month in Los Angeles after battling a prolonged illness. Her career spanned decades, featuring appearances in iconic series like Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine, as well as soap operas such as Days of Our Lives and the spin-off The New Gidget.
Jacobson’s big break came in 1985 when she was cast as Erin Jones on Falcon Crest, appearing in 22 episodes. She also showcased her comedic talents at venues like The Improv and The Comedy Store in Los Angeles, performing stand-up alongside her television career. Additionally, Jacobson was featured in Splash, Party Down, Murphy Brown, and other notable productions.
Her final project, Merrily, is set for release next year, although it’s unclear if she had completed her scenes. Jacobson’s contributions to the entertainment industry left an indelible mark, spanning drama, comedy, and science fiction.
