Not long after the winner was announced, a few die hard Swifties noticed the singer was nowhere to be seen.
One person wrote on social media: “i think taylor left i don’t see her in the audience anymore ??,” to which another replied, “taylor actually left? asjdhfdsf shes so funny.”
Despite these claims, Swift was among the first to give the “Barbie” cast a standing ovation for the award acceptance.
Other fans were under the belief that Swift left the event due to host Jo Koy’s diss about her relationship with Travis Kelce.
Koy remarked on the scheduling of the telecast, stating, “As you know, we came on after a football double-header.” He then quipped, “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL: on the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift!” He continued, acknowledging the abundance of celebrities at the event, “Sorry about that.”
