Tesla’s Cybertruck has hit yet another roadblock—this time, quite literally. The company has been forced to halt deliveries after reports surfaced of parts falling off while customers were driving. Owners have complained that metal panels and trim pieces detached from their trucks, sometimes flying off at high speeds, raising serious safety concerns.
Many of these complaints surfaced on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum and social media, with customers expressing frustration that they weren’t informed about delivery delays. Tesla enthusiasts at Electrek confirmed that sales have been put on hold after multiple incidents involving the truck’s cantrail, a decorative trim running along the roof. This isn’t the first time Cybertruck owners have reported quality issues, as previous recalls were issued for similar problems.

Since its 2023 release, the futuristic truck has divided opinion, with some praising its bold design and others criticizing its flaws. Owners in cold climates have faced challenges too, with reports of headlights getting covered in snow and the vehicle struggling in winter conditions. In one case, a driver in Montreal found his Cybertruck unable to move through icy streets, while others have noted trim pieces peeling off after just a year of use.
Tesla has acknowledged past issues with adhesives used on the truck’s body panels but has yet to release an official statement on this latest delivery halt. With Cybertruck’s reputation already under scrutiny, the company will need to find a solution fast—or risk its most hyped vehicle turning into its biggest headache.
