Jordan Parke, known as the “Lip King,” has been arrested following the death of a woman named Alice Webb, who underwent a cosmetic procedure called a liquid Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) at Studio 23, a clinic he allegedly co-runs in Gloucester. Alice, a 33-year-old mother of five, fell ill after the procedure and died at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. The liquid BBL involves injecting hyaluronic acid and dermal fillers into the buttocks, a treatment offered online for around £2,500. This tragic incident marks the first reported death in the UK from this particular procedure.
Parke, who has appeared on shows like This Morning, Bodyshockers, and the US reality series Botched, was photographed leaving his home in Dudley, West Midlands, and confirmed his arrest but did not provide further comments. Alice’s partner, Dane Knight, shared a heartfelt message on social media, thanking family and friends for their support during this difficult time. He also urged people to be mindful of their words, considering the vulnerability of their children after losing their mother. A GoFundMe page was initially set up to support the family but has since been taken down.
The incident has brought attention to the risks associated with non-surgical cosmetic procedures, which have become increasingly popular despite repeated warnings from medical experts. Alice’s death highlights the potential dangers of such treatments and has prompted discussions about the need for stricter regulations in the cosmetic industry.
