Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, known as “The Mountain” from Game of Thrones, and his wife Kelsey Henson have become a fan-favorite couple due to their significant height difference. Björnsson stands at 6’9”, while Henson is 5’2”, often leading fans to wonder how the couple manages everyday tasks like kissing. During an Instagram Q&A, a fan asked Henson how they kiss, to which she replied that Thor bends down, she tiptoes, or he simply picks her up.
The couple, together since 2017 and married in 2018, has also faced tragedy. In November 2023, they suffered the heartbreaking loss of their daughter Grace, who was stillborn. Thor shared a touching message about the grief they feel and the love they have for their daughter, expressing how they cherish the time they had with her.
Despite this sorrow, Thor and Henson remain a loving and supportive couple. They also have a son named Stormur, and Thor has an older daughter, Theresa, from a previous relationship.
In addition to his family life, Thor also had a memorable victory in a 2022 boxing match against fellow strongman Eddie Hall, winning by unanimous decision after six rounds.
