Brazilian influencer and model Karol Rosalin has sparked debate by proposing that men should pay a monthly “husband tax” to help fund their wives’ beauty and fitness routines. She argues that men “love to see women looking well taken care of” but don’t always recognize the financial investment behind maintaining that appearance.
Rosalin, who follows an intense workout regimen and strict diet, believes that a committed partner should contribute to expenses like gym memberships, supplements, and cosmetic procedures. She insists this isn’t about “buying anyone” but rather about “partnership.”

Not all men are on board. Rosalin shared that a past boyfriend admired her dedication but refused to help with costs, which she found “absurd.” She ended the relationship, stating she only wants a man who understands the effort behind her lifestyle.

Many social media users criticized her idea, calling it “shallow” and “ridiculous.” Some even accused her of encouraging gold-digging. However, Rosalin doubled down, saying she has supported men in the past but found it a “waste of time.” According to her, “A man who truly wants to take care of himself does it on his own.”
While her views have drawn backlash, Rosalin remains firm—if a man wants a fit and beautiful wife, she believes he should be willing to invest in maintaining her looks.
