A 42-year-old transgender woman, Lucy Grace Nelson, has been arrested for allegedly throwing Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership in Loveland, Colorado and vandalizing the business with graffiti, including phrases like “Nazi cars” and “F—k Musk.” Surveillance footage captured Nelson setting fire to multiple vehicles, causing an estimated $220,000 in damages.

Police arrested Nelson on February 24 after she returned to the scene with additional incendiary devices. Authorities found spray paint, gasoline, and bottles with cloth soaked in accelerant in her car. She was released on a $100,000 cash bond and now faces federal charges of malicious destruction. Despite her arrest, federal officials have declined to specify whether she is being charged as male or female.

Nelson, who reportedly lives with her mother due to “emotional problems,” has previously posted about her transition on social media, referring to herself as “baby.” She has no known history of criminal behavior, though online posts show her expressing extreme political views. Her father, Claiborne Nelson, stated that while the family is critical of Trump and Elon Musk, they had no indication of radical behavior before her arrest.

The attack is believed to be linked to the growing #TeslaTakedown movement, which calls for protests against Musk’s leadership in Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). President Donald Trump has since condemned the vandalism, calling it “domestic terrorism” and warning that future attacks on Tesla will be met with severe legal consequences.
