President Donald Trump has defended reports that he may accept a $400 million “palace in the sky” jumbo jet from Qatar, calling the backlash “fake outrage from crooked Democrats.” The luxury Boeing 747-8, modified for military and presidential use, is rumored to serve as a temporary Air Force One and later transfer to Trump’s Presidential Library Foundation.

Critics have raised alarms over potential violations of the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause, which bars government officials from accepting gifts from foreign states without congressional approval. Trump, however, brushed it off on Truth Social, insisting the deal is transparent and beneficial. “Anybody can do that! The Dems are World Class Losers!!!” he wrote.

The Qatari government confirmed that the gift is still under legal review and no final decision has been made. They stated the jet would be used temporarily by Trump and its transfer—if approved—would be coordinated with the U.S. Department of Defense.

Trump is set to visit Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE this week, with the jet deal likely to overshadow his planned talks on Middle East peace and trade. The controversy adds another layer to Trump’s unpredictable foreign policy style, blending diplomacy, business, and personal brand in true Trump fashion.
