Trump Says There Would Have ‘Been No War’ In Ukraine If He Were President, Says Joe Biden ‘Got Us Into A Real Mess’

Donald Trump has claimed that Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if he had been in office, blaming Joe Biden for creating a “real mess.” In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that Biden’s leadership led to millions of “needless deaths” and insisted he would have prevented the war entirely. He also criticized Biden’s handling of other major events, including the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan and inflation.

Trump’s comments come as negotiations continue between the U.S., Ukraine, and Russia regarding a possible ceasefire. U.S. officials met with Ukrainian representatives in Saudi Arabia earlier this week to discuss a 30-day truce, with Trump warning that Russia would face “devastating” consequences if they refused to agree. Despite these threats, Putin recently stated that he supports the ceasefire but has conditions, including guarantees that Ukraine will not use the pause to regroup its military forces.

In addition to foreign policy, Trump used his statement to push claims that the 2020 election was “rigged” and suggested that those responsible should be jailed. He also argued that under his administration, the U.S. would have had a more secure border and lower inflation. These claims mirror his campaign rhetoric as he positions himself for a potential second term.

As tensions remain high, the success of the ceasefire negotiations remains uncertain. While Trump continues to assert that his leadership would have changed the course of global events, critics argue that his foreign policy approach toward Russia during his first term may not have prevented the invasion at all.
