Despite being in Los Angeles, Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs player, will not be attending the 2024 Golden Globes as Taylor Swift’s plus-one, as reported by Page Six.
Swift is nominated for the show’s Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award for her concert film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.” If she wins, it would be her first Golden Globe. But her partner won’t be there.
Multiple sources have confirmed to Page Six that Travis will not be accompanying Taylor on the red carpet, nor will he be present at any after-parties with her.
The reason for his absence is due to his professional commitments.
Travis is in Los Angeles solely to play against the Los Angeles Chargers. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:25 P.M. ET, which is 1:25 P.M. PT, making it highly unlikely for him to attend the Golden Globes ceremony that starts at 5 P.M. PT.
Furthermore, it’s reported that Travis will fly back to Kansas City with his team immediately after the game. Taylor Swift was seen attending Travis’s last game against the Cincinnati Bengals on New Year’s Eve. New footage showed her smiling excitedly when she spotted Travis on the field.
Travis spoke about spending New Year’s Eve with Taylor, his mother, Donna Kelce, and over 50 other friends and family members on his podcast, “New Heights.” He described the experience as fun and a good New Year’s celebration with friends and family. He mentioned having over 50 to 55 people come in for the game.
This development clarifies the speculation around Travis Kelce’s attendance at the Golden Globes and highlights the professional commitments that often dictate the schedules of athletes and celebrities.
