WNBA star Brittney Griner is already envisioning a sports-filled future for her unborn child. In an interview with TMZ Sports, Griner confidently stated that her baby, due in July, will “100% be involved in sports,” calling it a “no-brainer.” The Phoenix Mercury center, known for her impressive career including 52 dunks in high school, a championship win at Baylor in 2012, and a WNBA title two years later, has high hopes for her child’s athletic potential.

Griner and her wife, Cherelle, recently announced that they are expanding their family. When asked if their child would follow in her athletic footsteps, Griner enthusiastically affirmed, “Yeah, yeah. Sports, what?! C’mon now!! Of course!!” Currently sidelined with a toe injury, the nine-time All-Star looks forward to returning to the court soon alongside her teammates, including Diana Taurasi.
