Nick Pasqual, an actor who had minor roles in shows like How I Met Your Mother, has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend, makeup artist Allie Shehorn, 20 times. The attack reportedly occurred in May at Shehorn’s home in Sunland, Los Angeles, where Pasqual allegedly broke in and stabbed her multiple times around 4:30 AM. Shehorn had previously filed a restraining order against Pasqual, which makes the attack even more harrowing. Pasqual was later arrested on the border between the U.S. and Mexico and has since pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Shehorn, who has been left with permanent scars and significant physical damage, including partial loss of vision and numbness in her hands, spoke out for the first time since the attack. She expressed her determination to see justice served and vowed to attend all of Pasqual’s court hearings to remind him that she is still standing. She described the ongoing struggle of living with the aftermath of the attack, saying, “Every day is different and it’s a struggle, and just dealing with the permanent damage is really hard. I can’t go back completely to how I was.”
The severity of the attack has drawn significant attention, and a GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover Shehorn’s medical expenses. Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón emphasized the seriousness of the case, highlighting it as a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence. He assured that his office is committed to supporting Shehorn through her recovery and ensuring that Pasqual is held accountable if convicted.
Pasqual faces a potential life sentence if found guilty, and his next court appearance is scheduled for October 8. As the legal process unfolds, Shehorn continues to focus on her recovery, supported by the community and the legal system, which seeks to bring justice to this horrific incident.
