Jordan Brielle, a 32-year-old woman from Ohio, has shared her terrifying experience of nearly dying due to her vaping addiction. Jordan was so dependent on her vape that she would even take it to bed and into the shower with her. Her health deteriorated rapidly, and in May 2024, she was found unresponsive by her partner, with black mucus coming out of her nose and mouth. Rushed to the hospital, doctors discovered two liters of black fluid in her lungs, which they attributed to her excessive vaping.

Jordan was placed in a medically induced coma for 11 days while the doctors worked to remove the fluid. She had been visiting the hospital frequently with chest pains and breathing problems, but no one had diagnosed her vaping-related lung damage until this emergency. Doctors told her that her lungs were severely damaged and warned that a similar incident could occur again.

Jordan, who had previously smoked cigarettes before switching to vaping in 2021, admitted to spending $500 a week on her habit. After this near-death experience, she has completely quit vaping and now warns others of the dangers. She feels lucky to be alive and is urging people to quit any way they can, emphasizing the risks vaping poses to health.

Her story highlights the increasing concerns surrounding vaping and its long-term health effects, especially as more cases of severe lung damage linked to e-cigarettes continue to emerge. Jordan’s message is clear: quitting vaping could save lives.
