Woody Harrelson Gives Update On DNA Test With Matthew McConaughey To Find Out If They’re Brothers

Woody Harrelson has provided an update on his potential DNA test with Matthew McConaughey to determine if they are half-brothers. While speaking on British radio station Radio X, Harrelson confirmed that they have not yet taken a DNA test but are “probably going to do that.” He acknowledged that there is a “real possibility” that they share the same father, adding that McConaughey’s parents were married and divorced three times, leaving room for uncertainty about past relationships.

Speculation about their possible sibling connection began after McConaughey’s mother, Mary, made a cryptic comment during a conversation in Greece, saying she “knew” Harrelson’s father. The actors later realized that the timeline of their parents’ relationships overlapped, raising questions about whether Charles Harrelson, Woody’s father and a convicted hitman, could also be McConaughey’s biological father.

The idea of a DNA test has intrigued both fans and media, with even former talk show host Maury Povich publicly offering to facilitate the test. However, neither actor has given a clear timeline on when or if they will officially go through with it. Despite the speculation, the two remain close friends and are set to co-star in an Apple TV+ series titled Brothers, a fitting name given their unique situation.

While some fans are eager for a definitive answer, others see the mystery as part of the charm of their relationship. Whether they turn out to be siblings or not, Harrelson and McConaughey continue to embrace their deep bond, regardless of biology.
