Her father, affectionately called “Papa Pizza,” passed away five years ago after battling leukemia.
Speaking on the Rodiculous Podcast, Pansino described her father as a “badass and little rebel,” sharing how he requested this heartfelt tribute before his passing. Initially hesitant, her family ultimately embraced the idea, with Pansino even documenting the emotional process of cultivating the cannabis plant. She worked with a licensed grower in California to bring the vision to life.
In her tribute, Pansino prepared pink-rolled joints to match her podcast set and carried out the gesture on air. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to honor her father’s memory in such a meaningful way, saying, “If Papa Pizza could see this, he would get a huge kick out of it.”
