The singer shared an intriguing image of a basketball hoop against the backdrop of the moon, resembling a ball in mid-shot. However, it was her caption that caught everyone’s attention, as she unleashed a pointed attack on Timberlake following his actions the previous night. Spears wrote, “Someone told me someone was talking s*** about me on the streets !!! Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time???”
She concluded her message with a defiant, “I’m not sorry!!!”, directly addressing Timberlake’s recent public dismissal of his earlier apology to her. This came after Timberlake, during a one-night performance in New York City, declared before singing ‘Cry Me a River’—a song widely believed to be about Spears—that he wanted to apologize to “absolutely f***ing nobody.”
This statement stirred discontent among Spears’ supporters, particularly because it seemed to contradict his previous stance and appeared unexpectedly, especially since Spears had issued an apology to Timberlake in her memoir not long before.
