Gypsy Rose Blanchard, recently released from prison, has revealed her choice for who should play her in a potential movie or TV show about her life. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Blanchard expressed her preference for Millie Bobby Brown over Joey King, who previously portrayed her.
“It’s funny, because I always wanted Millie Bobby Brown to play me. I think she’d be good at playing me,” Blanchard commented, sharing her thoughts with a laugh.
Despite the 2019 Hulu drama “The Act” depicting her life and her mother’s murder, Blanchard admitted she hasn’t watched the series. In “The Act,” Patricia Arquette played her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, while Joey King took on the role of Blanchard.
Blanchard explained to Access Hollywood her reluctance to watch “The Act,” citing a desire not to revisit her trauma. However, she acknowledged King’s performance, saying, “I’m sure that Joey King did an amazing job playing me. I actually heard an audio clip of her doing my voice, and I think she got it spot-on,” around the 3:20 mark in the video.
