Kanye West Gets Teeth Fully Removed And Replaced With Titanium Dentures

Kanye West, the renowned 46-year-old rapper, has recently shifted his style from rap to a heavy metal-inspired look, as evidenced by his latest Instagram Story post on Wednesday. The post showcased his new metallic dentures, which, according to the Daily Mail, are valued at an impressive $850,000.

In a follow-up post, West humorously likened his metallic dental work to the iconic James Bond antagonist, Jaws, known for his metal mouth. Jaws is a character from the Bond films “The Spy Who Loved Me” (1977) and “Moonraker” (1979).

It was reported that West’s teeth were entirely replaced with custom-made titanium dentures. This work was done by Dr. Thomas Connelly, dubbed the “Father of Diamond Dentistry,” and cosmetic dentist Naoki Hayashi. However, Dr. Connelly clarified to Complex, “He did not have his teeth removed. He still has a full dentition. Healthy and happy ?.”

Dr. Connelly shared West’s denture reveal on his Instagram Story and expressed his enthusiasm to the Daily Mail. “Ye was a pleasure to work with every step of the process,” he said. “His vision for designing unique art transcends the dental progression.”

Dr. Connelly also praised the collaboration, stating, “The marriage of his Vision with dental science has created a new look that is epic!”

Despite the pride West and Connelly have in their creation, some fans have reacted with skepticism and humor on social media. One user criticized West, saying, “He is still an idiot, more money than brains!!! Get Help Man!” Another joked, “No way Kanye west went through with that. Look like he wrapped his teeth with gum wrapper??.” A third expressed disbelief: “this cant be real…”

This isn’t West’s first foray into dental customization. In 2010, he revealed on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” that he had replaced his bottom teeth with diamonds, stating, “I just thought that diamonds were cooler. … It’s certain stuff that rock stars are supposed to do.” He admitted to frequent dentist visits for maintenance and told Vanity Fair he chose permanent diamonds over a grill for convenience.

West’s interest in unique dental aesthetics seems to run in the family. His 8-year-old son, Saint, displayed metallic Louis Vuitton logo decorations on his teeth last June, and his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, has also sported an opal and diamond grill.
