Cori, the youngest child of Snoop Dogg and entrepreneur Shante Broadus, who have been married since 1997, posted two images on her Instagram story. The first image depicted a hospital bed and sheets, with the caption, “I had a severe stroke this am. I started breaking down crying when they told me.” The second image showed Broadus wearing a hoodie and a protective face mask, expressing her disbelief and distress about her situation, “Like I’m only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this.”

This is not the first time Broadus has faced significant health challenges. She was diagnosed with Lupus at the age of six. Lupus, as described by the Lupus Foundation of America, is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation and pain in various parts of the body.

In a September 2023 interview with People, Broadus shared that she was doing ‘better’ than ever before, but also acknowledged the difficulties of dealing with health issues at such a young age. She explained her decision to adopt an ‘all natural’ approach to her health, citing her lifelong dependence on medication since her early diagnosis. “I’ve had medication since I was six years old, depending on these drugs all my life. So I wanted better for myself,” she stated.

Broadus told People that despite the days she feels ‘sick,’ she still considers herself ‘blessed’ to be able to do what she loves and share her story. However, she also admitted there are times she wishes she wasn’t sick and wonders about a ‘normal’ life. She concluded, “It’s part of being human. You’re going to have bad days, you’re not going to always have good days.”
