Taylor Swift has been praised as a ‘sweetie pie’ by a Highmark Stadium employee after the celebrated singer generously tipped her $100 and posed for a photo during her visit to Buffalo.
Swift was in town to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, as he competed in the AFC Divisional round against the Buffalo Bills.
Jerris Rainey, who works at the stadium managing ticket entries for the luxury boxes, had a memorable encounter with Swift, as reported by ABC7 in Buffalo. “She’s a sweetie pie. Very down to Earth,” Rainey shared with the news outlet.
Describing the encounter, Rainey said, “I just wanted to just see her, and she stopped and she asked me if I worked at the stadium. I said yes, and she asked if she could give me a tip. And she gave me $100 and then she asked if I wanted to take a picture with her and I said yes.”
This isn’t the first time Swift has been noted for her generosity towards stadium staff; she was previously seen tipping workers at a Chiefs vs Patriots game over a month ago. During the Sunday game, Swift enjoyed the match from a luxury box alongside Kelce’s family members.
The occasion also marked Swift’s first meeting with Travis Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, and his wife Kylie.
Swift, who has been a regular at Kelce’s games since they began dating, attended around a dozen of his matches. With the AFC Championship against the Ravens in Baltimore on the horizon, it’s anticipated that Swift will be there to cheer on Kelce, though her attendance has not been officially confirmed.
A victory against the Ravens would mark Kelce’s fourth Super Bowl appearance, this time with Swift by his side.
Swift is set to wrap up the Japanese leg of ‘The Eras Tour’ with a final show at the Tokyo Dome on February 10, leaving her ample time to travel to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl, should the Chiefs advance.
Kelce, a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs, secured last season’s title against Swift’s hometown team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
