Travis Kelce offered a clever response when once again questioned about his relationship with Taylor Swift, especially in light of the Super Bowl happening in Las Vegas.
As the Chiefs tight end enjoys a standout season, his popularity has surged in Vegas during the lead-up to the most anticipated event in American sports.
With Swift currently performing in Japan for four consecutive nights as part of her Eras tour, speculation about her rushing back to Vegas for the Super Bowl has sparked interest in Kelce’s personal life. When asked whether he would propose to Swift, whom he confirmed his relationship with in September, if the Chiefs triumph over the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, Kelce skillfully shifted the focus back to his professional goals: ‘I’m focused on getting this ring and that’s all my mind’s focused on right now.’
This Super Bowl marks Kelce’s fourth appearance in five years, offering him a chance to secure back-to-back titles.
Kelce expressed his admiration for Swift’s achievements during the Super Bowl’s opening night on Monday, aiming to match her Grammy success with another championship win. “She’s unbelievable. She’s rewriting the history books herself. I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and come home with some hardware, too,” he shared.
The 34-year-old also noted the influx of Swift’s fans into the football scene, acknowledging the positive impact of her support base on the game. “She’s definitely brought a lot of new faces to the game, and it’s been fun to experience that,” Kelce remarked. He highlighted the unique experience of integrating Swift’s dedicated followers, known as Swifties, into Chiefs Kingdom, thereby introducing them to the world of football and sports. “It’s been cool to experience that,” he concluded.
