Lisa Bonet has taken the next step in officially ending her marriage with Jason Momoa, as she recently filed for divorce.
TMZ obtained new court documents revealing that Lisa is seeking a dissolution of marriage, nearly two years after the couple announced their intention to divorce. The documents list their separation date as October 7, 2020, indicating they have been apart for some time. The couple, who married in 2017, had approximately three years of married life together.
In terms of their children, Lola and Nakoa-Wolf, Lisa is requesting joint physical and legal custody. Financially, she is not seeking spousal support and indicates that Jason is not expected to request any either. Their initial split announcement mentioned their commitment to “freeing each other to be who we are learning to become” and their dedication to co-parenting.
The court documents suggest the presence of a prenuptial agreement, as it mentions that their separate property and assets are “agreed between the parties.” This divorce marks Lisa’s second marriage, her first being with musician Lenny Kravitz, with whom she has a daughter, actress Zoe Kravitz.
For Jason Momoa, this is his first marriage. The couple had been together for a long time before tying the knot, dating since 2005, although they only married eight years ago.
